Utsavadhigal & Daily Routine

As clearly expressed by Maduranthakam Swami, who installed and consecrated all Murthis since inception, the following is, in the observance of daily, Pujas and Rituals.

This Temple is under "Pancharathira Agama",

Belongs to "Sri Desika Vadagalai Sampradaya"

The Temple and all Murthis are adorned with Vadagalai Vaishnavaite Thiruman kappu only.

The above stipulations were also categorically confirmed and assured for compliance in full, by Sri Kodiyalam Varadan and his family of Nungambakkam who donated the moolavar Sri Ramar, Sri Seetha, Sri Lakshmna and Sri Anjaneya idols and agreed to cover the expenses for the conduct of "Ramanavami" Procession/Celebrations regularly every year and regular observance of Prathishta dinam of Sri Rama Temple every year on "Avani month Punarvasu Natshatram".

Daily, Routine & Regular Pujas

Daily, Routine & Regular Pujas, Thiruvaradhanam Thaligai Samarbanam, prasada distribution are being done twice a day in the morning and night and observed daily with out any letup since inception., the other routines are as under:

Every Evening, Vishnu Sahasranama Parayanam, followed by Lakshmi Astotharam; Sri Krishnashtakam, sundarsana Ashtakam, Sri sthuthi (sri sthothrapadams)Pasurams of Sarvasri.Nammalvar, Mathurakavi, Periazhwar,Sri Andal, and Thirumangai Azhwar etc are being recited concluding with the recital of Sri Rama Nama Ramayanam.Regular Satrumarai according to Ahobila mutt sampradayam.

Special Festivals Conducted

Sri Ramanavami for 9 days with Ramayana Pravachanam by eminent scholars- Music concerts, Bhajans, with special incidental celebrations during Ramayana Pravachanam for Paduka Pattabhisekam, Sri Seethakalyanam & Sri Rama Pattabhishekam

It is High lighted in this connection, that Sri Seetha Rama Kalyanam is celebrated in three types in this temple (viz) one during the Ramayana Pravachanam, actual Kalyanam for the Utsava moorthis in the agama way and Sri Rama & Seetha kalyanam with ashtapathi bajan,unjavrutthi,muthu kuthuthal etc for two days in the Bajan sampradaya.which is unique only at this temple.

Laksha Archanai for Anjaneya for 3 Days in a year during February on the Sri Ramanajaneyar prathishta thinam

Regularly without lapse every month "Thirumanjanam" for utsava moorthis and Moolavars once or twice, are being done preceded or Succeeded by "Thilakappu" well in Sandalwood oil for moolavars.

Vadamalai towards fulfillment of vows by devotees is a feature for most of the days.

"Vennaikappu" for Anjaneya by devotees - every Thurs days & Saturdays.

Consequent upon the results realized by the devotes on the worship / Archanai and vows fulfilled, by Sri Anjaneya there is a swelling crowd of Bakthas - further, on their own, a few bakthas offered "Saligrama malai" containing 108 "saligramas". Over the period of two decades and more, this temple had the privileges of "Mangala sasanams" from the present (45) jeer of Sri Ahobila Mutt and the present H.H.Andavan Swamigal of Srirangam Periasramam and other mathva sampradaya gurus.
